As far as nonduality is concerned it’s our addiction to our thoughts that’s the problem. Not the actual thoughts themselves. -Trying to understand- When you’re trying to understand something… does that mean that you’re trying to put it into language and explain it? Or does it mean that you’re trying to see deeply into it?

A Week of Language
What would happen to our internal world if we called thoughts language? Change that one simple word and it creates a profound change to our ideas of spirituality. It's so much easier to step back from the idea of language. But they really are the same thing. Thoughts come to us in language. And it's easy to see that language is limited. It's also easy to see that we regularly move through our world in a non-language state. Much of our perception of reality, of who we are, has no
words. This can also be an eye opener because it's then easy to see that we are alive beyond the language.
You Can’t Stop Language
You can’t stop language. This is one of the big problems with non-duality and Enlightenment teachings. This teaching has been translated to us here in the Western world that the goal is to stop thoughts. We then go into overdrive, thinking and talking about stopping thoughts. Somehow we’ve turned the whole idea upside down into …
Try to have a thought without language
Here’s a challenge: try to have a thought without language. Can it be done? You can’t have a conversation without language either. Yes? -Nonduality is a technique- Nonduality is a technique to discover yourself underneath all your language. Underneath your thoughts and your concepts about everything.
A Week of Language

Examining our language
Examining the way we experience language inside of our heads, what’s often called thoughts, is a very good way to figure out how human beings work. Understanding ourselves is the first step to self knowledge. -You are not your language- Nonduality is all about realizing that you are not your thoughts. If instead of thoughts …
What is a verb
What is a verb? This might sound a little, a little silly on a YouTube channel about Nonduality, but this is part of a series I’m doing on the intersection between Nonduality and Native wisdom. This week we’re talking about language and how language informs our worldview. So, what do verbs have to do with …
The Discovery
Let’s talk a little bit about my discovery. How did I put Nonduality and Native wisdom together in this way? What made me come up with this crazy idea? This little story will help as our discussion goes forward. I have a long history in Nonduality. I’m doing this video in 2023 but I’ve been …
Definitions are limited
Our language, English particularly, is very limited in trying to explain reality because it divides everything up into definitions. -Definitions divide- Western Minds turn everything into descriptions, using nouns, which makes us see things as separate What If instead we had a language that was about the relationships?
Language is limited
Language is limited. We may not think about that very often because language seems so useful. Using language we can describe the things we see. We can think about things in ways that seem infinite and endless. But language is very, very limited. It can only describe things to a certain point because it uses …
Where do thoughts come from?
Where do our thoughts come from? Have you ever wondered about that? Now here’s a mind binder… you would have to think about where thoughts come from using thoughts! -What language are your thoughts?- What language do your thoughts run in? Sometimes that’s interesting to think about because thoughts have to have a language.
What is language?
What are thoughts? This is a series of videos I’m doing on how Nonduality and Native wisdom intersect. Each video is going to build on the one before. I’m trying to not repeat myself a whole lot, so if what I’m saying isn’t making sense or you’re wanting more information, go to the Integrating With …
Trusting Nature
The thing that we can most trust is nature itself. So the more you can actually breathe the air and feel the plants the better. -The Earth Speaks Slowly- The Earth and nature speaks slowly but always truthfully. That’s why slowing down and being in nature is so healing.
