Free Will and Pluto

Sooooo… there’s this whole thing about free will going on right now. Do we have free will, or do we not have free will? It’s actually an argument that’s been going on a really long time, but lately, a professor has written a book saying that we don’t have free will, so now everybody’s all …

Pretending Gets Us Nowhere

If nonduality is asking, “Lead us from the false to the real”, then it’s clear that pretending is not going to get us anywhere. Outside things don't define us. Your clothes aren’t you, your personality isn’t you, your emotions aren’t you, your thoughts aren’t you. Then who are you?

Free Will and Nonduality

Free Will and nonduality. So, there is a big debate going on right now about whether or not people have free will, and I’d like to talk about that from the point of view of nonduality. The answer is, in short, totally irrelevant. It doesn’t matter, and let me show you maybe a little explanation …

Nonduality and Native Wisdom

I’ve been working on a series of how Nonduality intersects with Native wisdom. These particular videos may seem a bit disconnected by themselves. But when put together into a full story, it’s a new way of looking at human beings that is transformative and fun. I have it all together in a book, available now on Amazon. It’s in both paperback and Kindle form.

Nonduality, as a spiritual practice is a bigger, riper, more robust philosophy than we typically see. It needs a facelift.

This book brings native wisdom into the field of nonduality and opens up how we see our thoughts, how we see our history, and how we see our culture so that awakening becomes possible. With a true earth-view of who we are, we can start creating ways to live that are sustainable and dynamic.

Today’s Nondual Tip

Today’s tip: Don’t talk about nonduality unless you understand it. And you don’t understand it until you’re fully there. — Talking makes nonduality worse — Talking about nonduality when you don’t really understand it, when you’re not there, makes things worse because the point is that talking doesn’t describe it. It's too easy to confuse ourselves.

Do we have Free Will?

From the point of view of nonduality, this is a moot question because it’s a concept. Nonduality says there’s no sense wasting your time on concepts at all because no matter how you look at it, it’s going to be a belief anyway. You believe you have free will or you believe you don’t have free will. In the grand scheme of things it makes no difference.

Is there Free Will?

There’s a huge discussion going on right now about free will, with philosophers, and scientists, and everybody. It is the perfect example of how the human mind can go badly and lead us to our very destruction. Let me explain. The simplest way to look at it is: Free Will is a concept that’s been …

What not to do

Non-duality is fun because we get to talk about what does not exist. So now I’m spending a week talking about what not to do on the spiritual search. — Lead us from the false to the real —  That’s what nonduality is really telling us. Words can only describe the false.

Are there steps?

Are there steps to Enlightenment, to reach the non-dual state? Well, the answer is yes and no, and I’m not going to tell you any more than that.
